OK, sorry, but perhaps some kind soul with this information (or a referral source) at their fingertips will be kind enough to help.

I need a 4:3 HDTV Direct View TV that is no deeper than 19 in (with stand). Plasma is not a financial option at this time.

Thanks in advance. Any additional recommendations will be appreciated.

    Toshiba 24AF42 msrp: $449.99
    Unit Dimensions (W x H x D):
    26 3/8" x 20" x 18 5/9"

    Sony 20"'s seem to be 19 1/2 D
    Toshiba 27' is 19 1/2 D

Stand is whatever you find Big Bro

    Wow, you're up early!

    Thanks.

Anybody got anything in the 32-36in 4:3 size that is 19 in deep?

that's pretty shallow for a direct view set.

You could move up to a 4:3 RPTV like the Sony 43ht20 or the Toshiba 43h72 or the Hitachi 43fdx20b. All three are in the 20" depth range. If you go 16:9 you might get a little shallower. The benefits of RPTV over direct view are size and cost. Obviously there are trade offs like viewing angle, brightness, and upkeep.

If your 19" is a hard rule, you may have to look into a 16:9 dlp set from Samsung, but that's a whole other kettle of fish.

    good luck whatever you decide.
