As most of us do, I have several DVDs that aren't anamorphic. When you use the zoom mode on a 16x9 set, how much picture is lost one the edges? Does it depend on the tv that is being used? Thanks!

Using the zoom mode on a 16:9 TV to show non-anamorphic letterbox DVD's, any material lost off the sides is due to overscan. This loss also occurs with anamorphic DVD's in 16:9 mode and (off the top and bottom) 4:3 programs in 4:3 mode.
