16x10 Notebook Displays and Anamorphic DVDs (1 Viewer)

So...if I buy a notebook with a 16x10 lcd display, will it take advantage of the anamorphic encoding of a DVD? In other words will it show more of the movie and less of the black area like a 16x9 tv?

Anybody know??

The aspect ratio would dictate that to be the case. Bars slightly larger than 16x9 but less than 4:3
