Hi, I am re-modeling my basement, and I want to have my home theater set up so that i have my dvd player in the back of the room, and the tv up front. I want to use component connections. The distance is about 35 feet.

Do I NEED Belden 1694a, or can I buy a roll of plain old RG-6U?

What's the cheapest I can get away with? And why?

Thanks

The cheapest way is to use RG6 coaxial cable and splice on RCA ends. Remember to mark the ends of each cable with the proper color.
