just got a PS2 and it's great so far - just a few issues.
1) i tried SOCOM in progressive mode...and it just doesn't seem like it's supposed to be 16:9. the movies are squished, and everything seems like it's squeezed down a bit. looks to me like it might not be a true 16:9 game ( i have a few for dreamcast).
2) with my ps2 component cables, there seems to be a "shift" where there are a couple of centimeters of a black bar on the left hand side, and some junk/noise on the top of the frame with some of the gameplay "cut scenes". i adjusted for overscan but i bet when i use my dvd player next it will look "off"
any help is appreciated
