I have a computer running PowerDVD hooked up to a TV via S-Video. It works great and the picture quality is excellent. It appears that PowerDVD sends the regular DVD output and not just the computer image to the TV. But the image is the equivalent of 4:3 letterboxed. Is there a way to get PowerDVD (v3.0) to output the 16:9 enhanced image? The TV is a Sony 4:3 with the automatic vertical squeeze. And if the 16:9 image can be sent will it trigger the Sony into 16:9 mode?

if I remember right if you just right click in the viewing window there should be a menu for aspect. just change that to your desired setting. last time i played with powerDVD there was about 4 different aspects you could use with it.
