I am having a hard time deciding which to buy. I like the extension of the 16-46 and also the price, but the Ultra seems to be calling my name with its higher output.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike

on monday. I am just waiting on some reviews on the
16-46 I am sure we can't go wrong with any one that
we choose but still hard to decide.

That must be sweet but I will only be ordering
one sub due to room constaints. have you listend
to only one sub yet and still get great output?

tryed one at about 115 db no where as nice.having two subs in the same corner gives you all kinds of extras.

Andy is right.

With good corner placement you are looking at room-reinforced response that'll blow you away to 14-15Hz.

Add one of the new SVS Port Blockers now included with the Ultra (soon to be available to the early Ultra adopters for the low low price of $4.95 plus shipping ;^) and you are looking at trimming upper response a bit but picking up another 5-6dB at 14Hz. This is some seriously deep stuff and only a few rare passages in DVD would dip lower.

The Ultra's remain the top performers but no one should feel like they give too much up by "settling" for a Plus series SVS.
