12v trigger question (1 Viewer)

I am under the impression that there are 2 types of 12v triggers. Ones is similar to a cat5 connection while the other is a 3.5 mm mono plug.

Out of curiosity is there a way to get one to work with the other as you mix and match components??

Most manufacturers use a steady 12v current to indicate the "on" condition. If your amp and preamp use this same trigger, then it is just a question of setting up a jumper cable compatible with each of the connectors and ensuring polarity.

you'll just have to build a cable with two different connectors on it.
