Well, I just tested my newly built DVC with Adire 15" PR and PE 250W plate amp. This is in a 95L enclosure. PR has a total of ~600g. I measured these at approximately 6 feet in my DORM room.
So, here's the results before the BFD. Will use the BFD in a couple of days.
These measurements were definitely not taken at max output. I just chose a volume, actually -38.5 on my RXV-620, and used it!

I think I'm glad I don't live next to you in that dorm [IMG]. Either that or, come Friday, I'd be knocking on your door for movie night.
Looks good! Pictures of this beast?

Brian, I was testing out the intro to Toy Story 2, and about five different guys came into my room asking what the hell was going on. And once they figured it out, I had to demo TS2 and the Matrix for them just to shut them up. I am extremely impressed with this thing! [IMG]
Two days ago, I was playing around with the tone generator and I decided to see what 20 hz feels like! [IMG] This girl that was at the end of my hallway was asking everyone what was shaking everything. That sure made me feel good! Especially since it's a DIY sub.
I'll try to get pics of it tonight or tomorrow and post them.
    Thanks! [IMG]
Oh yeah, I've already been TOLD that we will be watching some DVDs in my room this weekend! [IMG]

Jack, it does have a huge affect. When I was doing all of this with the tone generator, I couldn't believe how loud 40hz was. You can definitely tell that it is significantly louder. Hopefully, whenever I get this darned BFD figured out, I'm hoping by tomorrow, I will be able to bring that area down. I know it will make a HUGE difference!
But overall, the sub is just amazing. Until I finished this one, I was using an 8" Aiwa sub with only a 50 watt amp. Talk about night-and-day.
Thanks to all of you guys though, I'm already thinking of the next sub I build! [IMG]

Looks good - now just tame the 40 hz and above. Be careful of the bandwidth that you are using since you may reduct the 25 hz region if it the bandwidth is set too big.

Well you can be thankfull that you do not have any large suck outs!

    Regards

    Congrats Jeff!

It looks like it will be a great performer for you! Since you are testing the output take the time to move the sub to different locations (if possible) and test the output there. You will be surprised at the differences in response each location will make.

Thank you Kyle for the kind words and for your help with everything. I hopefully will be taking digital pictures of it soon, and will send you some or post them here.
About the placement of the sub, I'm pretty much limited to this place only. My room is absolutely packed and this is the only open place. It's in the front right corner and it will probably have to stay. But I can't wait until I get in my apartment next semester! [IMG]
