1080p dlps (1 Viewer)

I am looking to purchase a 60 inch dlp set in the future. I will use it mainly to watch dvds. Will there be advantage to my waiting till later in the year to get a 1080p vs what is available now?

Imo, if you're a movie lover just wait a year when the HD disc formats are available and then choose a 1080p plasma.

Not sure I understand the question....

The advantage is that you would have a 1080p display instead. For current DVD, there would not be much if any advantage. DVD's are encoded 480i only.
