    Erik,

It might be a very short test if I cannot get my amps to work correctly. I should have it figured out by then.

Yeah, unfortunately, Jeff's amp problems don't bode well for the feasibility or the reliability of this shootout. Good luck, Jeff. That kind of stuff can be really frustrating

Don't worry guys...we'll use my amps! Jeff, YGM, but I never intended for you to bring your amps just your 950...that would be MUCH easier anyway!

    So no worries gents...no worries!

Nice level headed comparison, without slamming either pre/pro or company. Refreshing... Thanks!

There has been some discussion on noise ( hiss sound ) coming from speakers on these units. Did anyone check or hear anything?

I'd like to know, if pressed to make a decision, which unit Dusty would buy.

Wayne: No need to slam either one, you're right, because they are both good units. So perhaps we can set a tone here...ya think?
Darrel: Gee thanks for bringing the "hiss" issue up. We did hear a hiss with the Outlaw but you had to have your ear RIGHT UP to the speaker...at about a foot away it was gone...this was at the volume CRANKED TO MAX.
Marshall: Will find out for ya, if we can! Jeff, when you read this...ask Dusty! You talk to him before I will! [IMG]
Glad we could help guys...anything else let me know!

Great work guys. I feel honored that my former Parasound amp(now Jeff's amp) was used in the shootout. It was a good read![IMG]

I did post my thoughts on the shoot-out. You can read them now.
Dalton, thanks for the great deal on the amp. Now that I have two of them I can biamp the front three and still power the rear 4.
As I posted in the review, Dusty liked the Outlaw more. I believe he choose the Outlaw due to COST. These two units are within $500 of each other. I don't want to say he is cheap, OK, I will, HE is CHEAP. To get him to buy lunch is incredibly difficult![IMG] Just so you are aware, Dusty's system consist of: Mitsubishi 65", Denon 3802, HTD Level III mains, center and rear center inwalls and Level II for the rear channels, SVS Ultra's (2) with the Sampson amp. So, he has a nice system. (OK, judging from his system, he does not appear cheap, but he really is frugal. With a difference of $500, he could not justify the cost. They both truely sounded wonderful.)
Lex, from this shootout, I can see that I REALLY need to upgrade my cables!!! ALL OF THEM. Oh, and of course, the TV, but I can only do one thing at a time and still be married.:b

This is the first time I have seen both units together in a picture, and I am surprised to say, I actually like the looks of the Outlaw more. Thanks for the shootout guys.
