I have a mitsubishi WD-82738 82'' 3D rear projection tv I want to upgrade. I would like to get something for the new 4k ultra hd but I also want 3d. The tv I have now is active shutter 3d. Was thinking of going with passive 3d. I'm having trouble deciding on which to go with an oled or home...
Yesterday I received the massive Kraftwerk 4 disc set in the mail from Amazon UK. It's pretty amazing. I've never been a huge Kraftwerk fan. Their music always seemed a little abstract to me. But in this context, it works perfectly. The videos consist of complete albums played live at art...

Big thanks to evileye from blu-ray.com!
Not South America but Screen Archives. The second #1 50s title in a row after Mad Magician. (unless Man in the Dark, and Miss Sadie Thompson hit 1 as well)*. Hopefully other labels (especially WB) are paying attention.
*Harlock the new anime title might have hit too
I was perusing Amazon UK and noticed they have this movie in HD and UHD, but not 3D. I couldn't find a pre-release holder on Amazon US for the movie at all.
Will Skull Island be released in 3D. I'd rather have the 3D than 4K.
Olive Films refuses to do a proper 3D Blu-ray restoration on MONEY FROM HOME. It would be great to see this film done justice while Jerry Lewis is with us to appreciate it. If OLIVE won't do it in 3D then let us persuade them to drop it. Let someone step in who will do the film and Jerry Lewis...
What can I say? I love 3D! From the moment I began watching 3D content in my home I quickly discovered that I needed more content. I suspect that those of you just purchasing your first 3D hardware will acquire the same ferocious appetite. That's why I became the HTF 3D ADDICT. I personally love...
I couldn't script anything better than what HTF member Mike Ballew has written below. Please read this post, followed by a statement from our own Bob Furmanek. Please be certain to contact Olive Films. That information has been included below....
From Mike Ballew:
Speaking frankly, we...

Why Ang Lee opted to shoot this in 3D and at record-breaking frame rate is a mystery.
The movie itself is entertaining enough but it's anyone's guess how realistic it is. Frankly, I wouldn't trust the soldiers shown here with anything more dangerous than a water pistol.
A few scenes benefit...

Over the years, I've built up a pretty decent sized collections of blind buys. Going back to the days of VHS, I was a pretty opportunistic buyer. If something came along that sounded interesting, was reasonably priced, and wasn't easily available for rental, I'd buy it. When I started...
Last year Samsung dropped 3D, and for 2017 Sony and LG have both announced that they will be dropping 3D as well.
I guess I need to get out and buy a 2016 model :(
Tim Alessi, LG's director of new product development, told tech website Cnet: "3D capability was never really universally...

I'd like to get a comprehensive data base going, so any and all 3D owners, please add to it.
Here are the ones I am aware that I have, most of them from either Sony or Disney (other studios don't seem interested in providing them), and most of them "strays," meaning they did not come with the...
I am myself not a huge fan of 3D but I get the impression that the studios and CE manufacturers are trying to get rid of a format that is very popular with a lot of people who also have substantial collections of 3D movies and at some point they will also need a new display to continue to enjoy...

I haven't seen this film, but director Ang Lee knows his way around 3D, as evidenced by the wonderful LIFE OF PI. I see no announcements in any country yet about a 3D Blu-ray release, which worries me,
Has anyone run across information about this?

It seems the studios are starting to give up on releasing 3D films that weren't blockbusters and I hate to see this sorry trend as some of these films were only available to be seen in 3D in my area for only a week. We have:

BFG
Secret Life of Pets
Ben Hur
Sausage Party
All these...
Coraline
Everest
Fly Me To the Moon
Gods of Egypt
Jonas Brothers

Jurassic World
In the Heart of the Sea
