Then I guess I'll absent myself from this forum. If you reward incompetence and outright deceit with the citation that it is somehow good journalism in your book, you don't deserve better. Very disappointed in you both.

Hey, I've got all sorts of ideas for doing TMP right (or right-er, at least, in terms of what they should have been focusing on), don't get me started. But Disney would show me the door as soon as I demanded a 24 foot Enterprise be built for beauty pass work ...

In the 70s, in Louisiana I believe, CORBOMITE was adapted as a stage play; considering how much of it is on the bridge in the ep, it is easy to see how they could adapt it (apparently they did some projections for the viewscreen.)

The guy running that AXANAR trekscam is now offering money back to supporters, but only if they sign an NDA - they're basically liable for five grand in penalties each time they comment about AXANAR if they take their money back. This kind of behavior ought to frighten everybody off...

I remember reading stuff in the 70s that ENEMY WITHIN was actually used in medical facilities as an instructional aid for patients to understanding the value of their darker impulses. Have no idea if there is any truth to it, but I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in at least one or two of the NF...

From what I've heard things settled down by season 4, but during s3 there were problems between him and the better writers (Snodgrass and Behr), weren't there? I remember Snodgrass complaining (with good reason) about what happened to her ENSIGNS OF COMMAND, and I am horrified by the way her...

For a couple years in the mid to late 90s, the mag SCIFI UNIVERSE was a place where some intelligent discussion of TREK really lived. From that, I got the impression Piller finally woke up and saw where TV had gone -- ER and the like -- while he had been on TNG, and belatedly tried to inject...

In an unauthorized book from about a quarter-century back called TREK THE LOST YEARS by Ed Gross I remember reading notes from Par's head of TV in the 70s, named something like Arthur Fellows, and his analysis of what was wrong with the phase 2 pilot script IN THY IMAGE (soon to morph into STAR...

I think there are several good notions scattered through the various approaches to INS, but none are brought to proper fruition. My interest in the book is largely how it shows input from various sources can mess with things (and to be fair, at least one bit of studio input seemed to have its...

Charlie X has one of THE defining Kirk moments for me with that, 'go to your quarters or I'll pick you up and carry you there.' Honestly, should be required for anybody auditioning for Kirk to pull that off with strength and conviction and even a bit of menace.
