Yes, unfortunately they never really delivered. They had Snowball Express, Cat From Outer Space Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, etc but lots were missing.

I’m not much on streaming but I was an early subscriber to Disney+ because I thought the service could finally release all those live action titles from the 50s to 70s without much overhead, I figured they were all in good shape and easily placed on the app, but when the initial films were still...

Yeah I grew up watching Snowball Express and Follow Me Boys. Guess we’ll never see a nice bluray of those. Even Disney+ just had a full screen version of Snowball Express.

I’d be fine if the storage for the marvel films all burned up if they’d get back to their “own” films that are certified classics.

I ended up canceling my membership. I should have bought Romney Marsh before I did but I was just ready to pull the plug.

I have a few more titles I need to catch up with but I’m close to cancelling as well if no new announcements come out. I’d really like Light in the Forest and Westward Ho, the Wagons but I’m probably dreaming.

This is for a DVD release, but I noticed "Westward Ho, the Wagons" has disappeared from my wish list. I did a search and it no longer appears on the club site. I guess it's gone out of print?

Great article. It’s interesting that NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper was brought in, one of the original Mercury 7. One of my favorite aspects of the film is the black hole swirling out just beyond the Cygnus. It’s a forbidding but colorful menace that is always there and always seems a threat...

I was going to hold off on ordering the Black Hole but I just couldn't help myself. Maybe Disney will fix the problem with the overture and I'll get a replacement disc. If not, oh well, it's still one of my favorite films and I can retire my old DVD. I went ahead and got 20,000 Leagues for good...

You are lucky, we got The Ewok Adventure. It wasn't even an official VHS release, someone recorded it off TV back in '84.

Well my post was a joke because of the back and forth that had occurred before and there hasn’t been much news on the Disney movie club exclusive line anyways to be perfectly honest.

I'm sure some folks will be really happy about these, but I was already aged out of the target audience when these came out. Maybe the next batch will be some more live action Walt-era films. Still waiting on Follow Me Boys and Westward Ho the Wagons...

I would literally cash out a big chunk of my savings account if all of these were released on bluray. No joke. Outside of a few of the titles I grew up seeing most of these at some point in time either on VHS or Wonderful World of Disney or early on in the Disney channel cable era (circa very...

The Black Hole and the Black Cauldron are both on my increasingly shorter list of need to have blurays. Fortunately TT, WB Archives, Olive, and Kino have been up to task in releasing a big part of that list.

Lots of good advice here with the club. If I joined I'd definitely get Old Yeller, Swiss Family Robinson, Blackbeard's Ghost, and Treasure Island on bluray (assuming they are available for the initial enrollment choices). I picked up the Davy Crockett films awhile back on ebay so I could skip...

I might be convinced to join the club now... Freaky Friday and Parent Trap. Things are looking up... I still need to get Treasure Island and Swiss Family Robinson on bluray. I didn't want to pull the trigger on the club but then I didn't want to pay $30 for it on ebay...

I'm definitely interested in the original film. I really liked that one. I remember seeing it quite a few times in the early days of the Disney channel on cable (mid '80s I guess). It must have come on some of the old UHF stations too but i'm trouble remembering. Fun film though. I don't care...

I'd prefer to have more of the Golden Age of Disney live action, not all of that stuff that was made in the '90s and early '00s especially. Where is Great Locomotive Chase, Light in the Forest, Westward Ho, the Wagons, Johnny Tremain, etc....

Yeah, I've been on the fence about joining the club to pick up some of the classic live action films on blu, but these recently releases have definitely steered me away from that. Might just pay the extra cash and buy the ones I want on ebay.
