Somewhere, back when, I'd seen a "much better representation" on film...
I knew there was a good version. Even if this isn't what I saw...thankfully exist, and this will end up in my collection, someday.
You can't buy everything...
I got one for you to check out. Wasn't my cup of tea, but when you(primarily) date bisexual women...you tend to watch movies that express their view...even if men...anywayThe Art of Being Straight (be forwarned, breaks no new ground...and as my GF said..."was probably written on glittered index...
Not that I want to "divert from Blu"(as this film, I think is only DVD...it was a trailer on another film...looks like a riot)...Opinions of PolterGay...
I know I brought up Sex of the Angels and it was liked...even though, even like I mentioned, it was a tad light on the "non-straight" end of things.
Another even better movie. The (chronology of the) plot is a mess, but after I watched it the 2nd time, three days later, it made much more sense...
Probably knows who Matt Bomer is though...(That crushed my cousin who fauned over him. Then I listed off Rock Hudson[bi-more likely], Anderson Cooper, NPH, JTF and Montgomery Cliff...to wit..."who is Montgomery Clift?)
What? There aren't any bucolic gay men?(By the way. I've been to, and when I lived in Indy, frequented, both The 501 and The Metro. I've personally seen gay men who care not for Minnelli and Streisand)
That list is garbage. I'm straight and seen 35(at least) of them.Wonder if written by a relative of the nimrod who wrote an article about "the top 10 cars men should not own" in menshealth (online article...and think it was menshealth) and included the FIAT 500 and Miata. What a dumbass. But...
I re-watched Pillow Book(UK release) on a properly functioning BD player.
Uh yes, it is a must buy. Almost an excuse, by itself, to buy a region free.
Also even though they "aren't gay"...
9 Songs has some extra moments that linger over the US DVD/Netflix.
Shame as well(over the Netflix DVD)...
Regarding Pillow Book, we've chatted this film up in the "Your single BD want" thread. Tempted to buy the BD of it from the UK(haven't done so...as my multi-region player has yet to hit my porch and I've already bought 7 BD from other countries).
But like the rest of Greenaway, where are they...
I've perused this thread and may pick up a few. Being straight I'm always asked why I watch them. I've been part of the alternate lifestyle(rope anyone??) since I was, uhm, 18...One of my best friends is a M2F. My current GF is shamelessly "greedy". We are on our 6th time living together. First...
The sad part about Silence of the Lambs...
I "missed" the whole part about the "gay" of the serial killer the first time I watched SotL. But then, how many straight men will boast about having been to the Folsom Street Fair, Pride Chicago/San Fran/Austin and been to the LA&M in Chicago.
To me...
That is one of the things I've never understood...
Gay for Pay(Stonestreet and Cliff Gorman) and playing gay, being gay(JTF and Robert La Tourneaux).
I've never understood how an industry full of "left leaning individuals" lets itself deal with double-standard. Not that I want a political...
I have an interesting thought...and yes, the movie I'll bring up may be too "low brow" for many of you...
Is it possible that in an attempt to be "gay friendly", it goes to far? Not just in the subtext of the movie I'll mention...but when it is on purpose to be blatant. Is blatant a bad...
I'm glad that the mere inclusion of a pseudo same-sex sex scene(rather attempted...) in a movie automatically makes it "just a gay movie".
So that means I can move Ken Park from my collection of "indictment of parental ineptitude" to simply "gay movie"...because the step father in a drunken...
Don't know where you are...but myself, and the people I know....
Metrosexual has nothing to do with sexual orientation.
Matter of fact, I dated a woman(born as) who lived her life gender queer and metrosexual. Seriously...people at times were confused if I was with a man or woman. But always...
As a straight man into, uhm, extracurricular antics...(cough cough, go to youtube and watch the video entitled "The importance of the Safeword"...with Lucy Lawless from EuroTrip)
I have numerous friends that are Bi, Queer, Trans and same-sex partnered(some of them hate the terms gay and...
Speaking of balling like a baby...and Gay Friendly...(king of segues here)...
One of my cousins has an uncle(the other direction...not related to me) who watched (at the time...but has since died...all in a two week period) The Barbarian Invasions.
I had her take it with her to watch with him...
