When I worked there in the mid 70s the Magnascope sign for the expansion of the borders for the screen size change were still up on the interior side...

Interestingly some shots which I thought were filmed outside on the MGM lot such as Lansbury and Taylor walking through the village were actually filmed inside the studio as claimed by Lansbury. The sets are so realistic and so is the lighting. Amazing. The sun is so bright I wonder that...
