So I see Amazon has finally debited my bank account for this item which I ordered mid Nov so I should really be receiving it by tomorrow. Unless it ends up in Brazil.
I wasn't sure if that went through as I didn't see it on my phone. But be aware that you will wait a very long time as if there is nobody there but they do eventually pick up.
No, Warner has a phone number. I just got the status on my order I placed before Thanksgiving. You'll hold while doing other work and they eventually answer.
There is a phone number on the Warner site which I called when I received no acknowledgement of my order though I saw the charge in my bank account. They answered and were helpful.
Well I'm in shock. Good News in January. I thought I was the only who liked this movie and mention it all the time on my wish list. Comden and Green called it their 'Battleship Potemkin.' Which I thought was amusing because as far as musicals go I consider it one of the best. Clearly the god of...
Up until this morning it said by 10 this evening but it never had tracking info. Now it says Dec 14-15. Why should this be anymore reliable than any of the info I received before? If you attempt to order it now it says out of stock, look for it coming at the end of Jan. But who knows really...
Well Amazon seems to be surprised by the orders for this. Early today I noted Prime orders placed today were to be delivered by Dec 17. Then it changed to Jan 7 and now it is Feb 4. Mine is still scheduled for tomorrow but hasn't been shipped yet. Ah well. This is what I get for criticizing the...
That's funny because as has been discussed The Pirate is 2nd rate Porter(in fact I'd put it at third rate) which is a big problem with the film where American is all 1st rate Gershwin which is maybe why it was such a huge popular success and for me the numbers there soar. I enjoy The Pirate...
I had two Amazon orders that were confirmed as delivered last Sunday on my order page. They showed up three days later. I've gotten used to not worrying when it says delivered and I don't see it.
Pirate still scheduled for me for Dec 9. Looks like current price on prime has gone up $4. And...
My Amazon pre-order first said Nov 24 and after a couple of changes now says Dec 9. We shall see. After being notified of the Warner 4 for 44 on this site I made a purchase. I'm told they'll be shipping this coming week. So I'm assuming I'll be receiving them the week after that.
I never pre-order. But because of reading some of these posts I did for the first time. I'm glad I did because it seems that the price keeps going up on Amazon. It will still be though a couple of weeks before I get it. So more than 70 years later it's finally a hit and it took Blu-ray...
Mine has not changed. Still Dec 15-Jan 6. And interestingly enough right now it is no longer available through Amazon prime and prices through third party sellers have gone up. I realize this can change but for now it looks like it sold out through Prime with no possibility to order at this...
I still don't get why this movie was a flop. Or even a disappointment. What put audiences off at at the time? Though extremely lavish it is no more sophisticated than any of the Comden/Green musicals. The story is a lot of fun and everybody is at their best.
