Easy- I can remember her as the sober person she was the last 20+ years and as I saw her in A Little Night Music replacing Angela Lansbury- alert, in the moment, and not slurring her words as she is in this doc.
I saw it too. The revival was much better. Those tacky T-shirts in the original and kids that couldn’t act for what was required didnt click with me at 22. With the exception of one- Ann Morrison. It was like a bad high school musical and was rightfully panned. Love the music though.
This is a great movie? Not. Once was enough on DVD. And as someone else said somewhere else Dean Jones left the show in what- 2 weeks? And a drunk Elaine Strich arguing with everyone is not how I’d like to remember her.
