I can't say I've enjoyed Discovery with it's alternate reality time line and then jumping forward to a future where the Federation was virtually extinct! I gave up after that to be honest!

I still haven't got around to watching the finale but you guys say it's good so I'll put it on sometime over Easter! I get it that Pike and Speck are going so is this the new Captain each series show or what? Can't say I remember much of what I've seen over the last three months except that...
The scene with Pike facing his own future, a future inside a rotting body confined to a life support system configured into a black chair was good, the rest of the episode I can't remember!
Anson Mount is good as Pike and he's the only character in this show that I find is interesting! But if...
The thing I never understood about his three Living Dead movies was basically is he the same character in each film? If so then he was Sarge Nicotine Brubaker who eventually joins the zombie hoards himself in Land!

I got the feeling that Tyler was a human that the Klingons had tortured and placed the mind of a fallen warrior in his body, not that he was a surgically altered Klingon!!! Maybe I've read it wrong but that's my fifty pence...
JB
It's tragic that STC never did a Klingon episode! I know they had a Klingon ship confront them in one episode but we didn't get to see a bearded baddie threatening the crew with the "prepare to be boarded or destroyed!" guff!
JB
You're so right! How could I have missed this? Damn! But the cast of that show tried so hard to make it succeed so I'll say it's in another pocket universe of TOS! Not quite Trek but close to it, more than DSC anyway!
JB
Star Trek Continues was great! The special effects were excellent! The costumes were fabulous! The stories were very good indeed! The only failing seemed to be with some of the actors I'm afraid, but I preferred this to STD!
JB
If discovery is in the prime universe then Pike is Jeffrey Hunter and Spock is Leonard Nimoy!!! No cobblers about Quinto or Greenwood, these are the guys that really count!!!
JB
It was thirteen years before wasn't it? I was never happy with the producers setting ENT and DSC before TOS! That shows an arrogance to me that they don't really understand the series in any way or form and that you as the viewer HAVE TO ACCEPT what they say and that TOS is too dated for kids...
UESPA was mentioned twice in the original show! Charlie X and Tomorrow is Yesterday! But the latter was to Captain Christopher, a 1960s pilot way out of his time so could have been Kirk trying not to give too much away! But it also gets a mention in VOY Friendship One and also in ENT but as I'm...
I'm concerned that with Patrick back onboard the DSC producers and writers may get him to mention the Discovery and it's adventures in his show so as to persuade people to get in on the show!
But for me that just means that new Picard is also from another reality so there producers!
JB
Every time I get a link to a US TV page I get swamped with the I accept Cookies and other rubbish so I usually just switch off! All I know is the TOS Spock is Leonard Nimoy and we know that he's sadly gone and will never play Spock again so it's just more proof of an alternate reality show!
JB
You know what, you're absolutely correct! A lot of things about Trek don't make sense! Money for instance and the political aspects of the show! Even in Gene's time it was not clear! Kirk's chat about diamonds in Arena is overridden in Catspaw and the like saying how they could make their own...
Not if you understand the intricacies of the history of the original series and how these new writers are trying to override it with their own deluded versions!
