This first Anchor Bay version looks a lot nicer than the one I purchased.
My copy was the re-released 2011 version, which came in generic multdisc viva dvd case without any of the special features/packaging.
Oddly enough around a decade ago, the season 1 dvd set of Boomtown was very common dump bin fodder at local discount outlets. (IIRC, I picked it up for $5 back in 2011 or 2012).
Not entirely clear why season 2 was never released. (IIRC, the season 1 dvd set was released by Artisan/Lionsgate).
At time circa late 2003, Lionsgate had just purchased Artisan.

It would have been great if Caprica had continued, and went into details about how the Cylons became "self aware". A short segment at end of the first season suggested what might have been.
The Borgias with Jeremy Irons as the pope. (It was on Showtime 2011-2013).
At the end of season 3, there were no issues with cliffhangers or wildly unresolved storylines.
A more fitting end would be a (hypothetical) season 4, which would feature the pope dying and going to hell at the end.
The question is whether there were ever any HD transfers made back in the day, and/or whether the original film elements are actually in decent condition.
The dvd release of Crusade was in 4:3 fullscreen, and looked like it might have had been postproduction done on video tape (typical of its era).
In the case of Firefly, I have to wonder if the show would have turned to crap in later hypothetical seasons (if it had continued).
Not quite an apples-to-apples comparison, The Killjoys superficially had some similar tropes to Firefly, where it lasted five seasons. I like the first season of...
