If I wanted to be very minimal, I would be inclined to just unzip media player classic into my own directory, and install madVR by itself, without using any of the repackagers.

If you like tinkering and have a fast enough graphics card, there's madVR which can be used as a renderer in Media Player Classic. (I think PotPlayer can use madVR too).
