If I wanted to be very minimal, I would be inclined to just unzip media player classic into my own directory, and install madVR by itself, without using any of the repackagers.

The K-Lite codec standard version has madVR and media player classic straight out of the box. Easier to install.

There's other players like Media Player Classic, VideoLan, PotPlayer, etc ... If you like tinkering and have a fast enough graphics card, there's madVR which can be used as a renderer in Media Player Classic. (I think PotPlayer can use madVR too).

The question is what exactly is eating up most of the space on a particular hard drive. If the vast majority of the disc space is being eaten up by media types files (ie. audio and video), then there's not much that can be done, other than deleting some of the audio or video files. Another...
