Actually, it appears that I may have been incorrect. AT&T sold its 10% stake directly back to Hulu, meaning it will be divided between Comcast and Disney. But where the Mouse House currently controls 60%, they will probably end up owning two-thirds of the company...

Yes, I read somewhere this week that AT&T sold its 10% stake in Hulu to Disney in order to pay down some outstanding debt. Can't remember exactly where I read that news, but it's given Disney 70% ownership in the streaming service. Found it...

Agreed. I can't imagine any scenario during at least the first year of Disney+ being available that the company won't want to "have their cake and eat it too." Both of these platforms offer the opportunity for profit. Why wouldn't they want to preserve one profit stream at the expense of the other?

I just hope they don't automatically start an ad for a movie when all you want to do is read more about the movie you happen to have landed on! Netflix drives me NUTS when they do this!

I would imagine that Disney will spare no expense to make this as customer-friendly and high-tech as possible. That means 4K UHD/HDR Dolby Atmos for as much as it will be possible for its content to offer.

Love it! So excited to sign up for this! At $6.99/mo. to start, I too expect eventual price increases, but dropping Netflix at $11.99/mo. right now certainly does sound appealing for my overall budget---especially since Disney+ will now be the exclusive home to the Vault Disney, Star Wars...
