Has anyone heard any rumblings as to whether or not there will be a 4K UHD disc release of this film?

It's a very nice looking disc, but the CGI has not aged well.

Yeah, Leviathan, uh, "borrows" quite a lot from The Thing design-wise. I like Deep Rising better, but it's a fine line. ;)
