Great Shots!

Well these where taken at the UW Campus not a zoo but I thought I would share.

Yes, all the shots where taken with the Sigma. I took the following shot with the Sigma 2x tele-macro converter.

I went to the zoo today... :) Here are some shots from todays vist that I'm happy with for the most part. I will say I don't have the post processing talent you guys have. If you want to see some of the other shot you can check out my Flickr site...

I have been pretty happy with my Sigma 100-400. Doesn't go down to as low an F stop as the Canon though.

More great shots! Now that the weather is getting really nice here I may need to hit the zoo more often.

Nice shots Cees and Scott! Scott I really like the bird shot. I guess I'm becoming attracted to the birds because of all the colors you can get. It really sets them off from the background.

I did have a polarizing filter on for my shots. I was using my Sigma 120-400 lens

Shooting through glass is a total pain but believe it or not I got the lion shots through the glass. The advantage is the way they have it setup. It viewing area has a roof and no lights so I was getting no shadows or reflections. I also shot at the very top of the glass so I didn't have to...

So I went to Woodland Park Zoo today took a bunch more pictures. Thought I would post some, the first one was my picture of the day: Sorry for posting so many... I just felt really good about many of my shots today so I thought I would share.

Thanks guys! I was amazed how many turned out. You can sure shoot a lot when you are using digital.

I thought I would share pictures from my recent trip to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington. I have been getting back into photography recently and have signed up for a class. I took a photography tour with tips when in Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago. Anyway here are some pictures.
