I'd buy a SHIRT in a second! Froggy looking Confused.
as for the MGM Shorts, don't know if those will be revisited by the Archive for an upgrade to an HD release, But would jump at the chance even the lesser ones at the end of the run still have some charm to them.
If... Archive has ideas about celebrating the MGM Anniversary I hope, that as some of the bonus features on whatever upcoming releases reflect that as well. Prime example, the release of Christopher Strong included one of the Ted Healy and Howard, Fine, Howard shorts that were produced at MGM...
Popeye 1950's
Please complete The Complete Tom & Jerry Golden Collection Theatricals H/B- Dietch - Jones
MGM Classics - Barney Bear and The Bear Family
MGM One Shots- Non Tex Avery 33 titles
Think this is the best option IMO, granted, I could see Ace being released flat on this release. But that also leave the chance of it being released in 3D, if and here's the caveat, if George and the WAC finally decide to release one of the many unreleased 3D films that WB/Discovery has in it's...
Continuation of the Looney Tunes Collectors Choice, is what i would expect..... but these would make a lot of animation fans ecstatic!
Popeye the Sailor: The 1950's Vol 1 - 50/51 ?🙏 15 cartoons
Popeye the Sailor: The 1950's Vol 2 - 52/53 ?🙏 15 cartoons with the option of viewing Ace of Space...
Just opened my Instagram account oh my God, The Great Ziegfeld, Tarzan the Ape Man, Anna Christie, Gentleman Jim, Madame Bovary, and Saving Grace with Craig Ferguson.
Hell of a nice way to end out the year!!
While not a subscriber to The Extras Podcast, with the month of October just around the corner and basing this from last month's announcement date of the 15th. Do you think that George Feltenstein and Company will be making an appearance on there, before the October releases are announced?
I...
agreed the number of Golden Age titles releases or re-released is limited, but isn't that part of the reasoning for the Archive Collection, classics that are not going to be on an endcap at the local Walmart or BestBuy. If GF and his group thinks that there is a way to do it and knock the socks...
The Return of Doctor X, The Mask of Fu Manchu, The Devil-Doll, possibly a Val Lewton, think I mentioned a 3D film on the other Warner Archive thread Phantom of the Rue Morgue
No worries, i would never dig WAC's grave
But, hey if anyone wants to dig a pit big enough for me, also make it big enough to smoke a whole pig, BBQ season in the south :D
for those of US old enough to remember, i sort of treated the podcast announcements like the old WB HTF Chats, yea a press release is great, but when GF talks about it you hear the passion at what they are doing, small insights. Don't steal the mans thunder, because there is always more to say...
honestly, The Old Man and the Sea, WOW! didn't see that one coming, the rest is just the icing on the cake :D
WAC is hitting it out of the park with every announcement
3rd times a charm, Maybe we could get Lumber Jack-Rabbit is a 1953 3-D in it's proper aspect ratio and DEPTH. come on it's their only 3D cartoon in the LT/MM group,
Or is that something that you think they would save for a possible future 3D Feature release as one of the bonus features...
Looney Tunes: Collector's Choice (Volume 1)
I'm gonna need to see what shorts they have planned for that and how many per release.... but the Vol 1 gives me hope that maybe some true hidden gems may finally arive :D
Yeah but I got the TCM Film Festival email and apparently one of the things being shown, at this years festival with Edward James Olmos and Lou Diamond Phillips both in attendance at the screening for the 35th Anniversary. Stand and Deliver, could that be possible, I mean that's only two...
i would be so happy if any one of those titles were to get a release, but then got to thinking of another that I would want added to that list. If possible the 1926 Sjöström / Gish version of The Scarlet Letter befitting an MGM release
well every one has a favorite that they are always pulling for, but mine isn't so much a film but a person, last time WA released a Garbo blu was 2015, lot of water has gone under that bridge since then, so I am hoping that this year is a good one.
Also see that Lassie is on that list as well...
Well I for one am happy with the two titles that they are going to release in December, considering one is a poster hanging on my wall rather large woman holding a car over top of a freeway
non specific, reaction from reading the tidbits posted by Robert
3D, 3D Cartoons, and possibility of some more classic animation (Theatricals I hope)
...... well , we will see what materializes, I remain ...... hopeful
such a great behind the scenes photo, when you just cant come out of make-up for a short break, wonder if those teeth made it a little hard to chew. I know there are others like this Kraloff and James Whale taking tea, in make-up.
sorry that was from Bride,
