Here's how I would have redone the first go on The Streets of San Francisco from the two-volume, eight-disc season that it was released as:
Disc 1:
"Pilot"
"The Thirty-Year Pin"
"The First Day of Forever"
(first disc would also retain Pilot Presentation and Army Archerd interview)
Disc 2:
"45...
And they'd have to do the same thing w/O-R CBS Dallas, especially the later gos when that classic 1978-91 serial was on its decline and started being edited on tape (1986-91).
That's probably what's behind many of the complaints on the Emergency! releases-- the inconsistency of picture quality between the individual gos, even within the all-in-one.
Me too! How does Carsey/Werner (a production label generally known for comedies like The Cosby Show, Roseanne, et al.) come to handle the shows of a label generally known for dramas, crime shows and action series?
Especially Happy Days-- the latter five gos of that 1974-84 ABC comedy were generally viewed quite derisively for various reasons, but as with any show, they do have fans who have enjoyed the whole show notwithstanding the reviews, so the rest of that show deserves to be out.
Probably said earlier, but any release that does not have the proper, authentic studio logos of the time of the show (like many CBS releases having a newer CBS-Paramount/CBSTD logo, instead of the Paramount logos of the times).
