Overall, I think the Academy members did a good job of spreading the awards around to lots of good movies. I'm pleased.
I think a few of you predicted the win for First Man for FX. My guess is that was in part because it had more practical effects and was less of a CGI fest?

I learned some things from Vice, and I thought the make-up and the performance were both impressive, but I agree with you that it is really not Best Picture material. All of the others I guess I'm ok with. My ranking is probably similar to yours except that I'd put Spike Lee's movie higher.

I actually already changed my mind on best picture. I really liked A Star is Born best of the nominees. I have no idea who will win at this point.
I'd be interested to read both what people here personally liked and what they think will win.
