The novelization is finally out. About to read it on my Nook. I really think they hurt themselves on sales by not having it released at least as an ebook within a week of the movie's release.
Prior to TFA all novelizations for Star Wars films came out before the movies did. I read all the ones for the prequels before watching the movie. I would think that the novelization would give more context to the deleted scenes than just waiting for the scenes by themselves on the blu-ray.
I also never had a big problem with midichlorians. All they do is quantify how powerful someone is with the force and it has already been established that some people are much stronger with the force than others.
I have now seen TLJ three times and I think it is a very good film that I just strongly disagree with the story points of. This reminds me of Harry Potter where the Prisoner of Azkaban is probably the best movie but is my least favorite because I have major issues with the adaptation...
I blame Kathy Kennedy and/or the Lucasfilm Story Group for not having a plan. J.J. and Rian definitely seem like they weren't on the same page. Lucasfilm should have made sure that everybody was on the same page either requiring J.J. to have a treatment for the entire trilogy or coming up...
