Re: MYSTERIOUS SKIN, the other male lead, Brady Corbet, was only 14-years old when they made the film and gives an astonishingly brave performance. He tends to get overshadowed by Levitt when the film is discussed, but Corbet is at least as good as he is as the co-lead.
