How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

It's in the outtakes at the end of the movie when Stinky Pete is telling a couple of Barbie dolls that he can get them a part in Toy Story 3 has been deleted from the streaming version. I can't remember if the UHD still had it but if there's ever another new physical release of the movie, I'm...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

It seems like I'm always constantly nearing the end of my backlog but when I'm almost through the pile, I end up buying a TV series set or a holiday or birthday comes and I get a bunch of titles I missed through the year and then I'm buried again and the backlog never ends . Currently...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

That the opportunity to experience a movie in a theater is fleeting is all the more reason that I cherish it and want to get to have that experience. I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood a million times in the theater and I've watched the UHD once at home. One, it wasn't the same as seeing it in...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

For me, the experience of seeing a movie with a crowd can never be replicated at home. I don't care if I hit the lottery and put an IMAX projector in my house, it can never be the same as seeing a movie with a crowd in a theater.

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

Absolutely. And I say that as the most antisocial person you'd ever want to meet but even I love going out and seeing a movie with a crowd. It makes a good movie even more fun.

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

Should've kept them. Today, 80's and 90's kids that are stuck in the past are paying premium prices for VHS tapes. :)

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

Damn, I should've picked a more obscure movie. My point was that there are movies that are basically owned by a guy or a small group of people and those movies definitely run the risk of falling between the cracks as streaming and downloads become the norm.

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

My largest 'concern' is that I want to buy and see a decent amount of movies that aren't owned by a corporation and that's the kind of stuff that falls in between the cracks when physical media disappears. I'm not going to have trouble seeing or buying Star Wars but Halloween 4: The Return Of...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

Do you think so? Maybe it's my own bias towards physical media or the more vocal people who simply are refusing to face the future but I don't think the number would be more than half. No doubt it's a significant amount that will continue to grow but again, I didn't think it had actually hit 51%...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

I don't know much about the Kindle, etc. but I assume you can also make the font LARGE in any book if needed too.

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

When I was in college and in my later 20's, I would always watch movies with friends. As we got older, it started to become a more and more solitary pursuit. Although I imagine that one of my dumb buddies will come over when I'm watching a bunch of Universal monster movies or Friday The 13ths...

How do you explain your love of physical media in an era of streaming?

Yeah, I chalk it up to age but I'm largely done with explaining, defending, or fighting about what I like in life. Whether it's collecting discs or still buying physical comic books, records, CDs & books or discussing movies, TV shows, and music or arguing about every possible aspect of Star...
