Wow, that's about 13 cents an episode for arguably the best TV show ever made.

Whatever is wrong with that movie, the makeup is a miracle.

Deep Red is the prototypical 1970's giallo Italian horror movie so it has graphic violence. It's not Saw III but it ain't subtle either. :)

I've never seen the movie but that's a great title.

You guys are crazy, the Friday The 13th movies are some of the finest films ever made. And by "finest films ever made", I mean the first one is pretty cool, I love the second and fourth ones, the third one isn't very good, the fifth and eighth ones are so bad they're good, the sixth one is...

The uncut version of the original movie is the only one that Paramount has put out on disc for about a decade now so it's probably safe to assume that the digital one is uncut too.

Those are the ones that I like best because they're basically like the Universal B-horror movies of the war era.

I'm guessing you probably know this and are only inquiring about the digital version but if you want the original in any format you can find it, Scream Factory's release has the movie in both the original and reworked colorings.

It's gotten a minor reappraisal over the last few years so I'm not the only internet weirdo that likes it.

You might want to revisit it. I think it's an underrated movie from his filmography.

I had seen him in other things but Bug and Revolutionary Road were the movies where he made an indelible mark on my memory. Boardwalk Empire is what made him a legend to me. One of the many great things about Shannon is how well his intensity lends itself to both comedy and drama.

About the only thing that I can think is that they'll keep a $30 price tag on it for a lot longer than they would have if it had had a normal theatrical release before putting it as part of the normal subscription.

I know what you're saying but for me, the original is a good movie but I haven't seen it enough to be particularly attached to it so I have no problem not comparing the two versions. I've seen the remake way more than the original and while it's far from a great movie, I do think it gets knocked...

It doesn't seem like it's going to ever happen but I think Carpenter's 1990's work deserves the reappraisal that his 80's stuff got. Not to say that his later movies are as good as his classics but they're better movies than they were given credit for at the time of their release.

Yeah, I was looking at other stuff that was in stock but had a delivery date of like May 37th or something so I just skipped that. I bought Mr. Robot: Season Four and that had just come out on March 31 so maybe they shipped it normally because it was a new release?

Someone better let Bartley know that the first two seasons (I said first three years earlier, my apologies) are definitely cropped to 16:9 on Blu-ray then. The top and bottom is slightly cropped and the sides are opened up a little bit to achieve a 16:9 frame. Yes, they protected S3 to S9 for...

It wasn't. They slightly crop the first three years to 16:9 and S4 to 9 were shot 16:9 but there's empty space on the sides of the frames for the entire episode so they certainly did not compose the show for 16:9. That being said, the extra space on the sides of the later seasons isn't a problem...
