I ended up just feeling a bit of tenderness at both injection sites and some extra tiredness for a day or so, although like Man W, I did do some extra walking afterward, though not with a heavy load! After I got home, I did take an ibuprofen as a precaution, but experienced no headaches.
For...
Interestingly, I'm bumping this thread! :D
This morning, I got both covid (For the latest variant!) and flu shots at our local Medpoint Pharmacy. Yes, I did get one in each arm! ;) Our son and Bee plan to get their shots next weekend.
No significant side effects, so far, though as a precaution...
I forgot that I had also inquired about getting a Tetanus shot, which is recommended about every 10 years, and I had my last one about 2011-ish. Got that inoculation done at my 3 month doctor's appointment yesterday!
CHEERS! :)
While I know this is a rather late date to be posting this, our son and I got our 5th shots, both bivalent boosters Thursday, October 6th.
The Mrs hasn't got hers yet, but she also doesn't go out a lot. Our son is handling this one. I also got my annual flu vaccine a couple of weeks ago, so...
Hopefully, this will also be the case in Ontario.. Nobody should be penalized for exercising on the side of caution in getting 2nd boosters, or 4th shots, as it were!
CHEERS! :)
Our son took the Mrs to get her 4th COVID shot at the Agri-Plex this afternoon. She's not pleased that I reminded him about it on Facebook Messenger, LOL!!
I just smiled and said, "You're welcome!"
CHEERS! :)
Health Canada just approved the first Moderna vaccine for the 6 months to 5 years age group earlier today! :)

CHEERS! :)
Today, I've been feeling very tired and have a bit of soreness around my injection site, but I'm OK otherwise. Our son was only able to work for part of his scheduled 1/2 day today, as he was experiencing lightheadedness and nearly got sick. His muscle aches that he sometimes experiences didn't...
Hopefully, Canada won't be too far behind in extending vaccine eligibility for the under 5s!
Meanwhile my son and I both got our 2nd COVID Vaccine Boosters just a bit before 2PM this afternoon. Pretty good considering we only became eligible late this morning! :)
This picture was taken just...
2nd COVID Vaccine Booster eligibility has just been finally been expanded in our province to include the age 18 - 59 age group, so we'll all likely be getting ours very soon! :)
CHEERS! :)
It's a pain in the neck, but probably not much different from your varied State by State laws, I'm guessing.
Ontario probably won't loosen the 2nd booster vaccine restrictions before fall, I've been told. Until then, it's a hard 60+ unless you meet other certain criteria, which was determined I...
Plus, would I also have to pay a fee for a COVID booster shot in the U.S, as I'm not a citizen or resident?
My only other "option" would be to travel to Quebec where any age (Under 5s, notwithstanding!) can get 2nd boosters, but this is a good several hundred miles east of where I live! Not...
At the moment, I'm frustrated AF that I can't get a 4th COVID Vaccine shot, as i don't meet the Health Ontario COVID Vaccine guidelines for their arbitrary 60+ (I'm 58) benchmark! We've both just past the 6 month mark since getting our first boosters, and I now face waning immunity! Also, my...
I'm definitely in the ultra pro-vax camp. For me, this past month has been an excruciating ordeal of trying in vain to get a second booster for myself or the Mrs. Our province hasn't budged on the 60+ age requirement for second boosters, and our local pharmacy has adopted a zero...
Currently frustrated that in Ontario, not only are 2nd boosters STILL limited to those 60+ and those in certain high risk groups (Nope, Insulin Dependent Diabetes does NOT count!), under 5s STILL can't get vaccinated AT ALL!!
Just learned that 60+ is now eligible for second boosters in Ontario. The Mrs should be eligible, as she turns guess what age within this calendar year? :D
CHEERS! :)
I simply always aim for the get it soon as possible once I'm eligible method. Of course, as each shot was a different vaccine, the math is probably too hard to work out my sweet spot precisely, anyway. I did get my Pfizer booster about a week shy of 6 months following my 2nd shot, which was...
Thank you Mark!
Thankfully, the most recent test showed no line whatsoever. Also thankfully, it never got any worse than a very dry throat. Vaccines work!
CHEERS! :)
In the last week, our son used one set, as he had a dry throat that he noticed after working his last shift. Each test showed a faint line in the positive slot, BUT only after about 30 minutes each time.
We currently have 3 full sets.
CHEERS! :)
The delivery came in, BUT not with the COVID test kit (It wasn't the only item I was having delivered), unfortunately. Since they're closing soon, I'll have to deal with it tomorrow morning. At least the pharmacy is keeping one aside for me in the meantime. Oh well.
Update: Our son picked them...
Just ordered a COVID test kit from our local pharmacy now that our province is allowing for delivery to residences. Should be receiving it later this afternoon or early evening.
CHEERS! :)
Over the past few weeks, COVID has become a lot more real for me, with several people I know having contracted it, with those fully vaccinated faring much better than those who weren't! One of them very nearly didn't make it (He masked up, but wasn't fully vaccinated!), but is now slowly...
