I got my Amazon order today, a day early than when it said it would be delivered! Glad to have it in my hands, even if I won’t be able to watch it until either Friday or Saturday. Hopefully can squeeze in a viewing tomorrow night, but we’ll see.
Amazon says mine will be delivered on Friday! W00T! Hoping to find some free time right away to give TMP a watch, but very interested to watch Khan as well.
I’m sure the pandemic has something to do with it. I only just placed my pre-order this morning, I meant to place it weeks ago but kept forgetting, and there was no immediate delivery estimate at all. Though I got plenty of stuff to keep me busy so I’m fine being patient.
I grew up watching my parents’ LaserDisc of TMP in its “Longer Version” form. I always referred to it as “the boring one”, though the interesting parts, even when I was young, brought me back to watch it often throughout my life, still thinking it was boring but slowly appreciating it more and...
I agree to an extent, but considering the complaint in said review, it’s actually a legit complaint that doesn’t require a purchase of said product to express this opinion. And considering the release to called “The Original 4-Movie Collection”, someone who is unfamiliar with Star Trek, but may...

2. The Search for Spock
3. The Undiscovered Country
4. The Wrath of Khan
5. The Final Frontier
6. The Voyage Home
I DO really like them all, and with the exception of Generations ranking perhaps between Khan and Frontier, I’d rank all the rest...
I unapologetically LOVE V! I don’t see what’s so bad about it at all. Great stuff! Yeah, the rest of the TOS movies are mostly better, though I find IV to be a bit overrated. V showcases how great of a trio Kirk/Spock/McCoy were better than any of the other movies.
I’m probably going to buy this 4-movie set but only if I have the money at the time. Kind of annoying as I’d prefer a 6-movie set, but I’ll bite, in a show of support for physical media, if I can fit it in my budget. It’ll make this situation better if the titles are at least individually...
I think they absolutely (and historically have) appealed to the masses who were not familiar with Star Trek. I think a point some would make instead, is that knowing the characters and their long term friendships with each other, would elevate the movies and a newbie would pick up on much less...
