So the only side effect I had from my two shots the other day (COVID, Flu) was a sore arm for a day.
My wife however who got the same two yesterday called in sick today as she feels lousy. Same as the last time she got the shots. She’s petite so perhaps that’s the reason.
I on the other...
The Food and Drug Administration on Monday greenlighted updated Covid boosters from Pfizer and Moderna. The shots, which are formulated to target the XBB.1.5 subvariant, are expected to be available later this week, after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention signs off on them.
My sister got it just like you and perhaps worse before the vaccines were available. She suffered for almost a month. She said it was the worst she had ever felt in her life.
My 85 year old mother in law just got it for the first time in a nursing home and was pretty much asymptomatic.
It’s...
What’s sadder yet is the need for some members to repeatedly post their anti-mask views over and over in a COVID thread. We got your stance the first time.
9 of my family members who just went to Disneyworld all got COVID on the plane down they think. No one was wearing masks.
They all but one had it previously and are all vaxxed and boosted. 5 adults and 4 children. Ruined their vacation. :(
Be careful out there.
My pharmacist told me the new booster will be available in September. Sign me up!! Thank God for the vaccines and meds like Paxlovid!
My mother in law and both of my friends parents, all In their mid 80’s contracted COVID recently. All vaxxed and boosted and put on Paxlovid.
All had mild to...
As I mentioned previously, I have many co morbidities and caught COVID in January. My Dr immediately put me on Paxlovid and my symptoms were very mild. Other than a terrible metallic aftertaste, Paxlovid worked wonderfully for me.
Don’t know which world you’re living in but COVID is very much still rearing its ugly head around the world. Just this week my mother in law and my friends mom and dad got it.
My wife and I got it in January. I have many co morbidities and was concerned. I was put on Paxlovid and thankfully had...

That’s what’s so scary about this virus. It affects everyone differently. It’s a crapshoot. That’s why the vaccines are so important as they prevent death and hospitalization for the most part. Imagine where we’d be without them.
That’s their choice. Hence no one was forced.
We could continue this conversation but I'm sure we would be breaking forum rules considering the notorious reputation of the site you linked. So let’s agree to disagree and move on.
Thankfully no one has ever been forced to get the vaccine as it has always been an option, so I'm confident it will always remain that way.
I too got the virus in January after 3 years and subsequently gave it to my wife. I had a very mild reaction thanks to the vaccines and Paxlovid (I have...
