Based on the first thirty minutes I saw I thought the 3D was underwhelming and mediocre.

I’m struggling to find the strength to finish this film. Probably this weekend.

Ha. I actually thought it got worse once the Will Smith’s Genie appeared.

I’m about thirty minutes in and hating every minute of it. My wife begged me to turn it off. I’ll finish it at a later time. I hope it gets better.

I personally think it’s biggest obstacle is the “Solo” effect. Was the audience clamoring for this film? The original was a really fun film but hardly the classic begging to be remade imo. I think it may actually perform like Solo. We’ll see. I’m seeing it next week with my elderly parents who...

More and more often, release dates have little effect on a films boxoffice. People either want to see the film or they don’t. Studios are slowly starting to realize that. The time of the year has never prevented me from seeing a film I wanted to see.

That trailer was one big *yawn* I thought.

Rewrites don’t usually get credits. Screenplay credits are very complicated. My friend is a screenwriter and he tells me horror stories of how he has to fight tooth and nail to get credits.

Hoping there will be more acknowledgments to the 1940 film The Thief Of Baghdad which Aladdin not so discreetly ripped off.
