Same here Ricardo. My appreciation for these films has actually increased from these dvds. Not sure why. Like alot of us, I've seen these a zillion times. Strangely, ESB has gone up in my estimation too. This film is not only alot of fun, but really deep and involving.

Interesting Richard. I've owned the novels for years of the OT, but never read them. Good find. I didn't like the look on Hayden's face at first. Just didn't think he looked ready for the take...but it's growing on me.

Finally finished the set. Looks fabulous. Some issues with lightsabers as already reported. But in terms of image and sound. Spectacular. :emoji_thumbsup:

Watched A New Hope in it's entirety. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Never looked better. Noticed the score issues in some parts, but these did not detract from the experience. Will watch Empire & Jedi over the weekend.

Finished the docs The Birth Of The Lightsaber & The Characters of Star Wars. Both great. Nearly finished Empire of Dreams before I tuckered out. Tremendous. Wanted to see all the bonus disc before watching the films. Hope to get to the films maybe this evening thru the weekend...

Good thoughts Andrew. I think alot of us would buy both versions in a heartbeat. And certainly the SE's visual effects did look better on the whole. Somehow just saying that I start to grin thinking about Austin Powers in Goldmember

Most of you regulars know I generally try to support or back Lucas when I can. His SW films have meant alot to me personally. I do try and be objective which is hard for me on the positive side and probably equally difficult for Lucas' enemies. I do try and find a medium where possible...

Funny you should mention this Greg as I watched a few scenes of Temple Of Doom last night and absolutely love that dvd mix. The score comes roaring through in all the speakers and really sounds robust and full of energy. Here's hoping...but cautiously not expecting...the SW dvd...
