No. I have a huge collection of Warners MODs since the inception of the program in March 2009 and none have gone bad. But I've had way too many Warners pressed discs "rot" after several years.

Let me add my voice to those lamenting the termination of WA's MOD program. So many obscure films that I discovered and are now favorites and it was because of the WA MOD line that I discovered Kay Francis. Sure, a lot of them were in rough shape but it was better than not having them at all...

Clearly you and I have different ideas on the definition of venom. I thought I was being matter of fact. The last thing I'd want to do is hurt someone's feelings. Either you're too sensitive or I have the hide of an elephant! ;)

Oh, I'm sure! There's always someone who prefers "this" to "that". But what's your point? We've all got our personal want lists. Warners is doing a remarkable job. High Society, Around The World In 80 Days, Ryan's Daughter etc. will arrive ..... eventually. And your opinion of what should take...

An animated musical about cats with Judy Garland, a Joel McCrea western, an Elvis musical, a sequel rescued from the public domain, a best picture Oscar winner from the 1930s, a Katharine Hepburn literary classic. Something for everyone! Another great set of announcements from Warners!

I wouldn't write off The Silver Chalice just yet, Ed. After all, many consider Land Of The Pharaohs a stinker (Warners even released the DVD under their Camp Classics line along with Queen Of Outer Space). I know Paul Newman considered it his worst performance but I've seen him give far worse...

It's risky asking a bunch of strangers whether something is a good film. You'll get different responses. 10 people could say no but does that mean you won't enjoy it or 10 people could say yes but does that mean you will like it? In the end, there's only one person who can decide if it's a good...

Ain't that the truth! Someone will always complain, "What about me? Nothing for me this month!". I'm snapping up Helen Of Troy, Last Time I Saw Paris, DuBarry Was A Lady and Fastest Gun Alive. The other two are just too creaky for me but I'm happy for their fans.

Just my 2 cents but I wouldn't hold my breath on blu rays of the Weissmuller Tarzans. A product of their era, to many they are racially insensitive which can be problematic for a release. Just sayin'.

You're practical and a realist, sir! If some of these posts are to be believed, it seems some people think the Warner Archives program is supposed to be designed to cater to their tastes first and everybody else second. ;)

I've always tried (tried be the operative word) to be a glass half full rather than glass half empty person. Certainly everyone's opinion has value and the right to express it. It's just that the usual "what about?" posts are as regular as clockwork and about as interesting. Maybe I'll wait...

Poor Warner Archives. It's a no win situation! No matter how many jewels they give us on blu ray, there's always a "but what about .....?" post.

It's the Warner Archives. They won't release it unless it's done right. Otherwise, we'd have had Raintree County, Around The World In 80 Days and High Society years ago!

Quite simply because there's a market for them! If Our Dancing Daughters is "very old and average", what is the creaky and dull "A" list Maytime? I don't begrudge those who swoon over MacDonald trilling and Eddy bellowing a release of Maytime but Warners would go broke if they catered solely to...

As someone who has strong opinions about certain actors, I absolutely agree. I can't stand Teresa Wright but guess what? I have 20 Teresa Wright movies in my collection. No damn actor is going to stop me from watching a movie I want to see.

Patience is a virtue! What's the difference if we hear about a title being released today or next week? Once a title is released then we get into a frenzy about the next batch of titles! Hey, I'd like Christmas next week but I'm going to have to wait until December 25th.

Direction by Tod Browning (Freaks, Dracula) often referred to as the Poe of cinema, evocative cinematography by the great James Wong Howe (The Thin Man, Kings Row, Picnic, Hud) and starring horror icon Bela Lugosi ..... yeah, I'd call it a classic.
