I was quite happy with the quality of the Imprint (one of their better releases) and wasn't intending to buy the KL version until I saw Julie Kirgo would do a commentary. Sold! Her commentaries are treasures. Like Robin 9, I have no interest in gossip maven De Valle's "commentaries".

I agree Joan Hackett gives a lovely performance. Heston's equal in every way. Heston said they had a hell of a time getting an actress for the part. They pursued Joanne Woodward, Jean Simmons, Lee Remick and Eva Marie Saint among others, who all turned the part down.

The Wild And The Innocent has had DVD releases in France and Germany. Unfortunately, they're pan and scan transfers and it's a CinemaScope film.

I stand to be corrected but I believe this is the U.S. debut of Destry which has never seen a domestic DVD release.

Not true, I have the French blu ray. Picture looks excellent so I won't upgrade but for those that don't have it, this should be a treat.

Invasion Of The Body Snatchers was never shown in the Roadshow format or recorded in 5.1 sound. ;)
