nevermind, just checked VE's spec sheet PDF and it's still IPS panel. The improvement would be to the overall contrast and definitely deeper blacks. If you see reviews of the QNED99 (on Best Buy or RTINGS), they're not favorable and I believe it's mostly due to the IPS panel.

Wait, did you mean to say that LG is adopting VA panels for 2022 for their QNED TVs? This would be a HUGE shift for LG LCD TVs!
