Actually, the Blu will be worse since it's a crop and chop job to make it fake widescreen.
The DVD set will likely be on par with the previous release, since that's being released in the correct OAR.
I wonder if, since Amazon shut down their burning operation and are getting their WA stuff from the same distributor as everyone else, they are sending out pressed DVD sets now?
And remember, the bigass complete Office set from last November was "MOD", and I have firsthand knowledge that it is most definitely not a BD-R set, it's the normal pressed discs.
Manufactured On Demand (I believe) now generally means they do batches of discs, someone assembles some sets, and...
Sorry about that. Usually jcroy has it done before I even wake up on Fridays.
March 5 2021 TV Shows on DVD News
I don't have a Facebook account either. I just google tvshowsondvd and it takes me to their FB page.
Most everyone elsewhere seems to be going on the look of screencaps, and screencaps are worth about as much as a festering bowl of dog snot.
There just aren't enough people yet with a copy for there to be any general consensus on what it looks like. But what's out there already for streaming is...
This is VEI we're talking about. It's doubtful they're doing anything but slapping them onto a disc. No work whatsoever will be put into them by VEI. I figure whatever MGM's current masters used for streaming and Comet TV are, that's what these will be.
Oh, and no TV news for the next two...
I'm surprised that Disney is releasing The Mayans S2 on DVD.
I'm also surprised they're continuing shows like Sunny on MOD.
I guess I'm surprised any time Disney releases anything physically.
Saw this over at the BR.Com forums...
The Office, complete series on Blu, November 10 2020

Aw, sonofabitch, they dumped B99 on MOD instead of licensing it out.
Well, looks like the physical collection ends for me at S6, Because a 13 episode season is nowhere near worth 35 bucks.
I was hoping that Stargate SG1 picture meant Blu-ray, but no, just a VEI rerelease that will probably have a lot of defective discs and overcompressed picture from too many episodes per disc.
IIRC, Miss Fisher wasn't supposed to be a TV on Blu release, it was supposed to be a real theatrical film until the plague happened.
I'm surprised and glad it's still coming out this year instead of being held back.
No, it just means that they're likely using the pre-2004 masters that were used for the DVDs and have all the music edits instead of the remastered for HD versions with restored music that were used for the region B Blu-ray releases.
You're looking under the wrong thing

Final Season. That's why you're not finding it. CBS loves that damn "final season" labeling...
They've already done seasons 1-12 in four epic pak sets for $40 each. And the format of that complete series shows those first four are being repackaged with two new ones that will likely be released separately in the future.
It had already been announced for an Australian release around the same time, and I was going to.buy that one. But now that a US release has sprang up, well, convenience wins.
Yeah, but there wasn't a $100 million bidding war for 30 Rock.
The Office is Peacock's big draw. 30 Rock, great show that it is, is an afterthought. So based on that, I don't think NBCU lets The Office go the way they do their shows that aren't cash cows.
I'm not betting on that. I think it's too important for Peacock streaming for them to risk losing any money to discs.
Parks and Rec, maybe. But not The Office.
Hm.
Who owns that one? Is it a CBS film? And has Kino said anything more about other TV movies? I know they got the last two Gunsmoke films a couple years back.
