So I had to Wikipedia it, and yes, there were upgrades from the 128K Mac to both the 512K and the Plus. I am quite sure I did the 128K to 512K upgrade (at McGraw Hill bookstore on 6th Ave). I am also sure I did have a Plus, but no firm memory if I upgraded that as well or bought a new one...

As an owner of the original 128K Mac (got it in March of 1984) my memory tells me otherwise — the upgrade was from 128K to 512K. The 1MB Mac Plus was a new machine where the floppy went from 400 to 800MB.
