Sorry, I re-read the above and now find it a bit harsh. It is just my opinion after scrolling through page after page of writing. It of course is whatever “floats your boat”. I don’t have to read it.
I have decided to stop following the two Star Wars threads. I am retired, but there is no way that I have the time to read all this!
I am sorry, but I also do not know how the authors of these entries have the time to write them! I like the quick back and forth of exchanged ideas. If I want...
My objection to the sequence was how it was done. I have seen the movie once (my repeat viiewing is always on disc), but remember the audience being utterly silent with a few nervous titters. I am no special effects expert obviously, but thought it looked foolish in its water ballet -like execution.
I have enjoyed all the Star Wars movies, and found each an event. I guess I am just not deep enough to care about most of the things discussed in this thread, which I find ridiculous nitpicking.
The post about Jumanji was there because in the previous entry the person said that there were many movies in competition with Star Wars, but he had no interest in Jumanji. :)
I highly recommend Jumanji. We saw it the other day and both loved it. It has little to do with the first film (which we didn’t like), and is basically rollicking good fun from start to finish. Scatological jokes are kept to a minimum.
