I've been watching this short lived series recently, one of my favorites after the fact. I didn't catch more than one during the original run but really got into it on the USA Network reruns. Fabulous series with a perfect cast. The Post/Carpenter theme is an earworm.
An Italian trailer for the Gerry Anderson UFO series. Thanks to fine editing and the great John Barry music from "From Russia With Love" (Bond Takes the Lektor), this trailer makes the show a lot more thrilling and action packed than it was.
As part of the Syndication Generation, my childhood was filled with the repackaging of 60's cartoons, put under an umbrella show and stripped daily.
I would watch this every day and wait for the Fantastic Four cartoon. Mostly I would wind up with The Impossibles, Frankenstein Junior or Shazzan!
Anyone tuning in after watching the mini series can tell right off this isn't gonna be the same as the more subtle and terrifying Ken Johnson original. This is aimed lower right out of the gate.
But man do I remember that night! I was actually camping with my Boy Scout troop that evening and...
NBC 1984 - Let's All Be There!
Easily my second favorite era of television. The only time in my life where there was something to watch during the day and in the evening. Classic "forget your troubles" escapist TV all. Damned. Day.
One aspect of classic TV releases I wish was more common are the inclusion of the network promos, tags and the "in color" intro cards. Some DVD and blu ray releases of shows, like The Fugitive, The Invaders, Batman, etc, kept them but for whatever reason, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea dropped...
I haven't popped in here in a little bit, but since it's Star Trek Day, I figured this would be a good time to post (or re-post) some classic Star Trek promos. Happy 56th, Star Trek!
A good recreation of the original

Here's a show that I had mixed feelings for. I was upset over the cancellation of The Incredible Hulk, but appreciated the casting because of the former series.
For bloopers, I find this to be great. Ryan's Edits. He put the outtakes back into Star Trek Next Generation episodes, and added finishing touches to they are mostly seamless. And hysterical. Posting one or two would be pointless, so here is a link to his You Tube playlist.

I consider V to be the pinnacle of 80's promos. Their ad campaign and the recaps were practically mini movies.
Batman was known as the best promoted series up to that time...
Some of these were even used in syndication.
