I just watched season 4 episode 4 and I think I'm out. The writing and acting is just so bad and I feel like all the story arcs are just retreads at this point. Season 1 was more focused and the nostalgia of it made up for the shortcomings but that can only go so far.

Jeez, you really analyze the show as if it's a character study like 'Rectify' when it's a poorly written and acted teenage drama on the level of 'Saved By The Bell'.

I guess the juice just ain't worth the squeeze for me then. I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you about Daniel being a "good guy". By all accounts he's a shitty father and husband with a huge ego.

I finally got through season 2. I have to admit I think I think a little less of some people on this thread for actually liking season 2. :D I enjoyed season 1 but don't think I'll be around for another season, especially if Kreese will be back. There really was no point to bringing him back...

Yeah, that's not a bad way to put it. As bad as even season 1 was, I was hooked from the beginning and plowed through it. Now I'm having a hard time getting through season 2. I think once the nostalgia of it wears off the bad writing and acting starts to become a distraction.
