I returned the 2nd Gen model purchased at Amazon for $110. I could re-order for the $100 price, but think I will just wait and get the 3rd Gen model for $30 more sometime down the road.

I watched the latest episode of Amazon's Rings of Power on my 1st gen ATV4K yesterday without any issues. I think I am running the latest IOS, but will have to check to verify.

My Denon displays "Multi-in", too, with the ATV4K. I do not have any height speakers (still on my "to do" list).

Try turning HDMI control off, but leave ARC turned on. I just checked, and that is possible with my Denon X3300W. Not sure if that works with your model. Mine is an older model with ARC, but not eARC. Personally, I have both HDMI control and ARC turned off. I could not get ARC to work...
