Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

I rarely watch the service, either. The only program I watched from start to finish since getting it for free again is the Michigan college football game that was on earlier this fall. If it wasn't free, I would not have a subscription.

I am getting the Iowa - Purdue football game in 4K / HDR10 on Peacock via my Roku Ultra. I have the version of Peacock with ads (get it free with our Comcast Internet service).

Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

So, we had been a Comcast cable TV customer, and Comcast was providing Peacock for free to all its CATV customers. Then last spring, they stopped providing a free subscription, and our sub was terminated. However, soon after this, we cancelled our cable TV package with Comcast and just kept them...

Just curious - - are you paying the extra fee for 4K content on YTTV? If so, is there much decent content? We currently have YTTV, but not the 4K up charge. Trying to decide whether to add it in the fall for 4K football, or maybe switch to Hulu Live TV then for hockey season (that subscription...

A person could subscribe to a live TV streaming service that includes Fox. Hulu TV, YouTube TV, and Sling are examples.

I was surprised to see the World Cup listed on Peacock when I was in the app earlier today, knowing Fox had the US rights. It being in Spanish makes sense now. Rough 2nd half for the USA today against Wales.

Have you considered rotating your streaming services? Do you really need all 6 of the ones you have now all at the same time? One of the advantages of streaming services over cable is that you can cancel and then re-subscribe later. We only subscribe to 2-3 services at a time. I just added HBO...

Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

I am getting the premium service only because I am a Comcast customer. It still has commercials, though, so I rarely watch anything on it. There is no way I would pay for the service if I move on from Comcast. I bought the complete series of The Office when it was on sale on Vudu a couple of...

Not really. I don't watch the service much on the Apple TV in my main setup - - certainly not enough to spend a lot of money to replace the Roku devices on our four other displays.

Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

Yes, but for me part of the idea of streaming is to reduce or eliminate the commercials. If NBC's Peacock service is going to have almost as many commercials as free TV, I'm not that interested in watching. I do not watch the other free streaming services with numerous commercial breaks. I have...

Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

I was watching a couple of 30 minute TV shows last night, and NBC increased the commercial breaks from one to three for each of the episodes. That certainly didn't take them long to throw in more commercials. If this is going to be the new normal for the service, I will not be watching it much...

Peacock Peacock - NBC/Universal Streaming Service (Official Thread)

My experience after watching about 20 TV episodes is that I am seeing the same half dozen commercials from State Farm, Capital One and Target for 30 to 45 seconds after the show's intro. I am not seeing the variety of commercials NBC is claiming to be striving for.

I have only watched one thing -- the pilot episode of Leave It To Beaver. There was a message from State Farm at the beginning stating there would only be a single commercial, and then a 30 second State Farm commercial. So, I guess technically they lied, as wouldn't that be two commercials? ;)

Create a new Peacock account on your Apple TV (it probably will work from your personal computer or phone browser, too). Then login via your browser, go to your account, and link your Xfinity account to the Peacock account. You should now have a free premium account that is accessible on your...
