Not sure about Amazon, but iTunes has the director's cut, and it goes on sale at times for $4.99 - - I bought it 3 years ago for that price. I tend to avoid buying streaming copies on Amazon, as it's difficult to know what you will get. And I am a long time Prime member.
I already have too many TV series purchased digitally that I haven't watched yet, but this was too good of a price to pass up. I probably have enough unwatched material to last me a decade or more. What's one more to add to the list?
I noticed that True Grit was in 4K for $4.99. Didn't know that was available in 4K It's the only western I bought in this sale. I also bought Death Wish, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and Creature From the Black Lagoon -- all in 4K. Other good westerns I see, though, are:

Yes, that is quite an extensive list of titles on sale at iTunes for $4.99. I only found three to buy -- HD versions of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Pat Garrett & Bill The Kid, plus the 4K of An Officer and a Gentleman. I had the first two on DVD, and didn't have the third one in any format.
If you are interested in American history, it's a very worthwhile film. As @Robert Crawford said, it's long, though. I had the theatrical cut on disc, so purchased the extended cut during a previous iTunes sale.

The iTunes Windows app will be replaced by separate Music and Movie apps. I believe they can be downloaded and installed now, but it requires that iTunes be uninstalled.
I think we've gotten off topic with this discussion of TV shows on Apple's streaming service. Maybe we could move the discussion to another thread (there's one on streaming frustration) and get back to discussing deals in this thread?
The Watch Next feature usually works for me. Occasionally it will not advance to the next episode when I am finished watching, but it's easy to manually advance to the next episode when that happens.
Personally, I find Vudu to be more cumbersome for TV series for the way we watch - - always in...
Yeah, about a week ago, four of the Peanuts movies appeared on iTunes in a bundle for $9.99 (it was on Cheap Charts). By the time I went to iTunes, the price was about $45. I normally wouldn't have bought those films, but for ten bucks I would have bit.
