Not quite Macro level, but damn impressed at the detail the aging iPhone 5 got with this shot of a Fly on the Wall.

I spy with my iPad's eye, a pseudoscorpion! Spider Tick by Kadath, on Flickr Thought it was a tick at first, I shoulda broken out the real macro lens for a better pic, but I thought it was harmful and flushed it! Sadly, it's a helpful insect, eats mites. Just looks scary!
Oh yeah absolutely. I have done that with my panos too and I just bought a small trimming board last year so I am set to do them at home. I just like the convenience of picking and going!
Yes, it's cropped but still was only about 6-8 inches away. They were doing their own thing gathering pollen and so long as I didn't touvh their flowers I was no concern to them.
I am tempted to spot out the other insect in the flower, what do you think?
That looks terrific on my retina iPad! I'm on travel this week but wouldn't mind taking a cut at how I would edit it if you are interested when I get back to the ranch. LMK!
I like it! I'd juice the contrast just a bit and maybe add a bit of vignette to make him more of the 'star' of the shot! His face has personality tho!!!
I'm not a fan of competitions, tho I know others get a kick out of them. I especially don't consider for-fee entries my bag. But my philosophies about my shooting and why I shoot aren't mainstream I guess.
Love the second one! The eye is sharp and the leading lines of the background make an interesting sweep of the image. You might consider putting a subtle vignette around that to tone the background down slightly, I think that would make a very slick but classic looking image.
I use Lr for importing, sorting and keeping track of my images.
I use Lr for all image wide adjustments, minor adjustments with brushes, and things like red eye removal. Color balance and tone and cropping are all i do to 90% of my images.
I use Ps for pixel level edits, the VERY rare for me...
