Are you referring to Andor Season 1? It’s a shame you didn’t stay with it, because it’s probably the best that Star Wars has ever been. Sharp writing, great action, edge-of-your-seat intensity and emotional payoffs like no other. It was nominated for an Emmy for Best Dramatic Series, which is...
Let’s hope A Jedi’s Return doesn’t get lost in the shuffle of the Disney+ Day’s numerous releases. It’s very good. But the best thing about it might be the interview footage with Alec Guinness on the set of the original Star Wars. I thought I’d seen everything from those days over the past 45...
New documentary, premiering Sept 8:
I assume this is a feature-length documentary, and not a series (like the Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian Season 1). Either way, looking forward to it.
Wow, if this is true, Disney got a massive hit for a low, low price. Another signal pointing to another season.
Spoiler for those who don’t want to click through: Budget was allegedly $90 million for the series, while Boba Fett was $100m, and shows like Star Trek and the Marvel shows are...
Another thought on why the scenes with Vader and Obi-Wan are so effective: In the OT, we very rarely see Vader talk about anything personal, except perhaps when he's talking to Luke. In Rogue One, Vader was all business; same in Rebels (mostly). In Obi-Wan, when Vader talks to the Inquisitors or...
That's true - he definitely softened, but the basis of his distrust of Kenobi was there and is the same in ANH. He's just trying to keep Luke safe, and he sees any involvement with Obi-Wan or the Jedi to be dangerous. Anakin was his half-brother, after all. Who knows what happened in the...
BTW, let's also give a nod to Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, who gave their characters the most depth they've ever had in 45 years. Beru's determination to protect Luke and their home was the most forthright we've ever seen her character, and Edgerton was terrific as Owen, especially when he...
I thought the final exchanges between Obi-Wan and Anakin were great. There’s some real acting going on there, not just set pieces. Anakin saying “I am not your failure, Obi-Wan” was both devastating and freeing for Obi-Wan. I think it changed everything for him. He no longer had to blame himself...
I enjoyed the finale a lot. (It’s listed on D+ as the season finale.) There were a few leaps of logic but emotionally, it fits and fills the gap between the prequels and OT. McGregor really nailed every moment in this episode. I think we’ll get another season, but not for at least two years.
I do find it a bit inconsistent with her cutting off that woman’s hand on Tatooine in the first episode. And if she’s hunting Vader, why kill Jedi? I will say that I thought she could’ve killed Vader if she arrived three minutes earlier, when he was busy holding that ship from taking off.
BTW I thought Vivian Blair and Moses Ingram were the best they’ve been yet in E5. I know some people have problems with both of them, but I think they proved to be valuable parts of the show.
I’ve wanted an Obi-Wan movie since before streaming shows were a thing, and I’ve wanted Obi-Wan solo...
A new poster released by Disney this week. I hope it doesn't suggest a showdown on Tatooine. Vader should have no suggestion at all that Obi-Wan is there. Not even a hint.
Loved episode 5. I thought it hit the right notes. I like how each episode is about one particular place and one event - in this case, escaping Jabiim. The flashback was extremely well done, and I hope we see more of Hayden as Anakin.
The most obvious place would be the previously announced Lando show, but that’s not produced (as far as we know) by Favreau. More likely that Favreau could pick up on the Crimson Dawn plot line with Emilia Clarke’s character.
Part IV was great. This was a pretty intense episode, and we're getting closer to the confrontations that need to happen with Reza, Vader and Obi-Wan. I wouldn't be surprised if the events of this series eventually lead the Empire to put Alderaan on the list of the planets on which to use the...
Just a thought: Isn't Solo (the movie) contemporaneous with this show? Both are set 10 years before ANH, right?
Seems like, except for The Bad Batch, there isn't much in the 10 years immediately after ROTS.
Obi-Wan did see a mirage in the desert, and it was Christensen as Anakin. Also, we saw a heavily made-up Christensen as Anakin getting the armor on. The word is there will be several flashbacks to the time of the Clone Wars and that's why Christensen is on board. Rumor is the same is true for...
Second season seems likely.

It was a great episode. Lots of suspense, very good dialogue, tension, and surprises.
Loved the appearance of
Again, the exchanges between Obi-Wan and Leia were great. The show is terrific.
Anson Mount (of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) has expressed support for Moses Ingram as well.

I love Mount in Star Trek and I hope he continues there for a long time, but this makes me wonder: How do we...
At this point, I'd say a second season is a pretty good bet.
