I thought this was a terrific season for the Simpsons. I never would have thought the show would still be on after 18 years, but it's still pretty damn good if you ask me.
I thought the Kent Brockman episode was very funny -- topical, biting satire that the Simpsons has always done so well. You have to admire a show that so brazenly bites the hand that feeds it.
I'm someone who caught the first episode back in December of '89 and have been watching ever since. I still enjoy it, some nights more than others, and look forward to new episodes. I hope the feature this summer gives it a shot in the arm and the show goes another 5 years.
Actually, The Simpsons started in Dec. 1989 with its Christmas show. The regular season started as a mid-season show in Jan. 1990. With the exception of a slightly shorter first season, it really has been 18 seasons. The good news is that Futurama is coming back! No idea if it will last 18...
